Mi experiencia en colonia

Hola soy Hatim Khatib, os voy a contar mi experiencia en colonia.

Estoy haciendo mis prácticas en la empresa FAIRRANK, esta empresa está dedicada a la creación de páginas web y al mismo tiempo a mejorar las páginas que ya están creadas, a fin de ganar una posición entre las tres primeras paginas en el motor de búsqueda de google.

Mi trabajo en la empresa ha consistido en programar por primera vez con librería jquery, que es simplemente una librería de javascript que simplifica el control de eventos, animación, y las interacciones Ajax para el desarrollo web rápido. Además he aprendido como se desarrollan las páginas web.

Colonia es la cuarta ciudad más grande de Alemania, es una ciudad muy preciosa de la que nunca te puedes aburrir . También es famosa por sus monumentos, museos y galerías de arte. Los más conocidos son la Catedral o (Dom), es impresionante; por eso es el lugar mas visitado de colonia. Durante esa estancia de tres semanas he tenido la oportunidad de visitarla y ver la parte de arriba que da una vista enorme de toda la ciudad, también he visitado varios sitios de la ciudad tales como el museo municipal de colonia; el museo de los nazis, que cuenta la historia de la época de los nazis; el museo olímpico donde se muestran la historia del deporte, ropa deportiva, equipos, ropas, medallas, diplomas y muchas más.... Entre los museos el que más me ha gustado es el museo del chocolate, ahí se puede ver todos los procesos de la fabricación del chocolate además se toma su elaboración como un arte.

También lo que más gusta de esa ciudad es el río Rin. Está sentada en sus orillas, para la ciudad es tan indispensable como la catedral, así que hemos aprovechado nuestra residencia en colonia para dar una vuelta por ese río.

Colonia no ha sido el único lugar que he visitado, también he visitado holanda, fuí a Haarlam, que es una ciudad pequeña y preciosa, aquel día tuve suerte porque era el día de las flores, que es un día al año, y es típico hacer estatuas con flores, o regalar flores.

También he visitado Amsterdam, que es por su parte una ciudad muy grande, llena de gente de todas partes del mundo, con muchos canales; pasé un fin de semana estupendo, mezclando fiestas con relax, estos son los contrastes de Holanda.

Durante mi estancia en Alemania, me he alojado en una residencia de estudiantes en un pueblo llamado Frechen, a 10km aprox. de Colonia. La vida aquí ha sido bastante divertida y he pasado muy buenos momentos con todos los compañeros.

La residencia es muy grande, con muchas instalaciones; el único problema es que hay que compartirlo casi todo, y cuando no estas acostumbrado es una experiencia diferente.

En conclusión, este viaje ha sido una gran experiencia para mi, he podido conocer distinas culturas y personas, me lo he pasado muy bien, y he aprendido muchas cosas útiles que me ayudarán en mi futuro, tanto en el trabajo como en mi vida.

Tampoco puedo olvidarme que este viaje ha estado lleno de rutina y algunas veces el día a día ha sido aburrido, pudiendo producir algunos desacuerdos con los compañeros y estrés, ya que hemos estado en una ciudad grande donde todo iba muy deprisa; sin embargo, en general el viaje ha sido genial y nunca me arrepentiré de él.

La empresa donde realizo mis practicas es la empresa Bayer Bussiness. Los empleados de la bayer me han tratado muy bien. El trabajo que realizo, es hacer graficos en VISIO.

The company where I'm doing my practises is Bayer Bussiness. Bayer employees have treated me very well. My work consists in making graphics in VISIO.

La ciudad de Colonia, es bastante grande y bonita, su catedral es maravillosa. En Colonia los medios de transporte son muy puntuales, pero la gente aqui es muy seria.

The city of Cologne, is quite large and beautiful, the cathedral is wonderful. In Cologne the public transport is very specific, but people here are very serious.

Hemos visitado el museo del chocolate, y hemos hecho una barbacoa en un parque situado en Rudolplatz.

We have visited the museum of chocolate, and we had a barbecue in a park in Rudolplatz.

The Köln Experience

Hi! My name is Jose Antonio Orellana, here in Germany I'm working in a company called REWE, and I'm going to describe you how is my job and the life here in Köln.

Hola! Soy Jose Antonio Orellana, aqui en Alemania estoy trabajando en una empresa llamada REWE y voy a describiros como es mi trabajo y la vida aqui en Colonia

Working at REWE

REWE is a retail and tourism group, if you walk around Köln you will see many supermarkets of REWE group.

The first day I was introduced to my workmates and they showed me the company building, they also gave me the cards that I need to access to the building and to pay the meal.

I work in a department with 4 workmates (Sacha, Simon, Dietrich and Ricarda), 2 of them are trainees and they work at the company and study at school at the same time.

My job consists in help them with the problems they have to solve, for example: repair a printer, install software or configure computers, laptops... so, I learn a lot from them.

I start working at 9:00 and we have a break for having lunch at 12:15, usually I eat with my 2 workmates, Matias and other German trainees that are working at REWE, which some of them have gone to Malaga to do practises in companies. Once you start speaking with them in English is great and they are very friendly and nice people. I have to recognize that meal in REWE is very very good. At 13:00 I go back to work until 15:00 or 14:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays (we have English classes on those days).

REWE es un grupo de venta al por menor y de turismo, si caminas por Colonia veras muchos supermercados del grupo REWE.

El primer dia me presentaron a mis compañeros de trabajo y me mostraron el edificio de la compañia, tambien me dieron las tarjetas que necesito para acceder al edificio y pagar la comida.

Trabajo en un departamento con 4 compañeros (Sacha, Simon, Dietrich y Ricarda), 2 de ellos son estudiantes y trabajan en la compañia y estudian en la escuela al mismo tiempo.
Mi trabajo consiste en ayudarles con los problemas que tienen que solucionar, por ejemplo: reparar una impresora, instalar software o configurar ordenadores, portatiles... asi que aprendo mucho de ellos.

Comienzo a trabajar a las 9:00 y tenemos un descanso para el almuerzo a las 12:15, normalmente como con mis 2 compañeros y otros estudiantes alemanes que estan trabajando en REWE, de los cuales algunos se han ido a Malaga para hacer practicas en empresas. Una vez que empiezas a hablar con ellos en ingles es genial y son gente muy buena y simpatica.

Tengo que reconocer que la comida en REWE es muy muy buena.
A las 13:00 vuelvo al trabajo hasta las 15:00 o 14:00 en Lunes y Miercoles (tenemos clases de Ingles estos dias)

Life in Köln

Köln is a beautiful city where you always have something to see or do, and in some aspects is very different from Malaga.

The main sights from Köln are: the cathedral, which is huge and you can go to the top and see all the city, the Cathedral also is supposed to contain the relics of the Three Kings; the medieval houses and city gates, and there are also twelve romanesque churches that are worth seeing. Also there are a lot of interesting museums like the Chocolate museum, Römisch-Germanisches museum, the Nazism Documentation Center or the German Sports & Olympic museum.

One of the things I liked the most about Köln is the public transport. Trains and buses always arrive on time and with them you can arrive to any part of the city; in this point Köln is much better than Malaga.

Another good option is to ride a bicycle, many people here uses it and is a healthy and non-contaminating way to go to school or work. And most of the streets have a cycle track which everybody respects.

People in Köln are broad-minded and friendly, and if you need help they will help you. It's a cosmopolitan city where people from different nacionalities can live without problems.

Most of young people speak English so you can communicate with them

Köln also offers a lot of entertainment, you can go to the Lanxess Arena to see hockey matches or music concerts, another options are the theatres, RheinEnergieStadion where you can see the football matches of 1. FC Köln.

If you want to go shopping, in Schildergasse you will find a lot of shops from the most famous brands. Nightlife is great and you can find a lot of pubs and discos. Köln is also famous for it's Carnival which is one of the biggest in Europe.

One thing that surprised me is that on the weekend all people go to the park and spend the day there eating, playing sports or just talking with firends. The parks are huge and they are always full of people, once we went to a barbecue with some of the German students and we had a really good time.

The weather is usually good too, although on the morning is a bit cold.

At first it may be complicated adapt to the German schedule, because they have lunch and dinner sooner and shops close earlier, but well eventually you adapt to it.

Colonia es una ciudad preciosa donde siempre hay algo que hacer o ver, y en algunos aspectos es muy diferente de Malaga.

Los principales lugares de interes de Colonia son: la Catedral, que es enorme y puedes ir a la parte de arriba y ver toda la ciudad, tambien se supone que la Catedral alberga las reliquias de los Reyes Magos; las casas y puertas medievales, y hay tambien 12 iglesias romanicas que merecen la pena ver. Tambien hay muchos museos interesantes como el museo del Chocolate, el museo Römisch-Germanisches, el Centro de Documentacion del Nazismo o el museo de los deportes Alemanes y Olympicos.

Una de las cosas que mas me han gustado de Colonia es el transporte publico. Los trenes y autobuses siempre llegan a tiempo y con ellos puedes llegar a cualquier parte de la ciudad; en este punto Colonia es mucho mejor que Malaga.

Otra buena opcion es montar en bicicleta, mucha gente aqui la usa y es una manera saludable y no contaminante de ir al colegio o al trabajo. Y la mayoria de las calles tienen un carril bici que todo el mundo respeta.

La gente en Colonia son de mentalidad abierta y simpatica, si necesitas ayuda ellos te ayudaran. Es una ciudad cosmopolita donde gente de diferentes nacionalidades pueden vivir sin problemas.

Colonia tambien ofrece mucho entretenimiento, puedes ir al Lanxess Arena para ver partidos de hockey o conciertos de musica, otras opciones son los teatros, el RheinEnergieStadion donde puedes ver los partidos del 1. FC Köln.

Si quieres ir de compras, en Schildergasse encontraras un monton de tiendas de las marcas mas famosas. La vida nocturna es genial y puedes encontrar muchos pubs y discotecas. Colonia tambien es famosa por su carnaval, que es uno de los mas grandes de Europa.

Una cosa que me sorprendio es que en los fines de semana todo el mundo va al parque y pasan el dia alli comiendo, practicando deporte o simplemente hablando con los amigos. Los parques son enormes y estan siempre llenos de gente, una vez fuimos a una barbacoa con algunos de los estudiantes alemanes y lo pasamos muy bien.

El clima suele ser bueno tambien aunque por las mananas hace un poco de frio.

Al principio puede ser complicado adaptarse al horario aleman, porque comen y cenan antes y las tiendas cierran temprano, pero finalmente te adaptas a ello.

Residence

Here in Köln we are living in a residence located in Frechen, a small town near to Köln.

The residence is not bad, we have a kitchen that we share with our neighbours (at first we were alone but these last days 3 Spanish students and 2 Finnish girls arrived). The shower is shared with another room and there is only one bathroom in every floor for 4 rooms, but we didn't have any problem sharing the kitchen or bathroom.

The residence has also a canteen where I usually have breakfast. The negative point is that every day you find the same food, except on weekends when they have a "branch" which is having breakfast and lunch at the same time.

Another negative point is that because the residence is out of the city, you have to wait for the train and the journey to the city center takes 30 minutes more or less. Another problem is that if you go out at night you have to wait until 5:00 am to come back.

Aqui en Colonia estamos viviendo en una residencia situada en Frechen, un pequeño pueblo cerca de Colonia.

La residencia no esta mal, tenemos una cocina que compartimos con nuestros vecinos (al principio estabamos solos pero estos ultimos dias 3 estudiantes españoles y 2 chicas finlandesas llegaron). La ducha es compartida con otra habitacion y solo hay un baño en cada planta para 4 habitaciones, pero no hemos tenido ningun problema compartiendo la cocina o el baño.

La residencia tiene tambien un comedor donde suelo tomar el desayuno. La parte negativa es que encuentras la misma comida cada dia, salvo en los fines de semana donde tienen un "branch" que es el desayuno y el almuerzo al mismo tiempo.

Otro punto negativo es que debido a que la residencia esta fuera de la ciudad, tienes que esperar al tren y el viaje a la ciudad tarda unos 30 minutos mas o menos. Otro problema es que si sales de noche tienes que esperar hasta las 5:00 de la mañana para volver.

Finally

Personally I have enjoyed a lot this experience and I would recommend everyone to come and visit Köln. I think that discovering a new country and culture is a really great experience, you learn a lot and it makes you see things in a different way.

If you have time I suggest to visit other German cities, I visited Frankfurt and Dortmund, and I liked them both.

I really would like to stay more time here! :D

Personalmente he disfrutado mucho esta experiencia I recomendaria a todos venir y visitar Colonia. Creo que descubrir un nuevo pais y cultura es una gran experiencia, aprendes mucho y te hace ver las cosas de forma distinta.

Si teneis tiempo os sugiero visitar otras ciudades alemanas, yo visite Frankfurt y Dortmund y me gustaron ambas.

Realmente me gustaria quedarme mas tiempo aqui!

La catedral de Colonia

Mi empresa es denkwerk, es una empresa que se dedica a la creación de aplicaciones web, publicidad en linea, el comercio electrónico y móvil.

My company is denkwerk is dedicated to create of web app, Online Advertising, e-commerce and mobil.

El primer día conocí a las personas de mi unidad todos fueron amables conmigo, me enseñaron como era la oficina, y la zona mas importante la cocina.

The first day I met the people of my unity and were kind with me,I taught how the office is, and the zone most important,the kitchen.

Durante estas tres semanas hemos intentado salir lo mas posible por colonia, y así subimos la catedral, visitado algún museo, hecho una barbacoa con los chicos de intercambio y dado una vuelta en barco por el río rhin

During this three weeks we to tried to see most of Köln, and this led us go up to the cathedral, see some museum, make a barbecue with guys of the exchange, a stroll by the river in a ship

De esta experiencia puedo decir que abre mucho los ojos y que es una experiencia que quien tenga la posibilidad no se puede perder

From this experience, I can say that opens her eyes and that is an experience that he has the possibility, no to be missed.

Hola me llamo Matías Dubra y os voy a contar mi opinión sobre Colonia.

Hello my name is Matías Dubra and I'm going to talk about Cologne.

La ciudad es muy bonita, limpia y esta bien comunicada, puedes encontrar de todo sin mucho esfuerzo, siempre y cuando estés en la ciudad, no es nuestro caso.

The city is beautiful, clean and well connected, you cand find almost everything without too much efford, if you are in the city, which isn't our situation.

Quizás lo que mas me disguste es el estilo de vida, en Colonia se levantan sobre las 6 de la mañana o incluso antes. Nosotros solemos desayunar sobre las 7:00-7:20 pero casi siempre estamos solos porque aquí acostumbran hacerlo bastante antes. Después de desayunar hay que cojer el tren y los 30m no te los quita nadie, luego depende de que tan lejos este tu empresa. En mi caso son unos 45-50m en tren y 5m en bus, realmente no esta tan mal, compañeros como Donaire tienen que cojer tres trenes y un bus.

Perhaps what I dislike most is the lifestyle, people in Cologne wakes up at 06:00 o'clock or even earlier. We usually have breakfast at 07:00-07:20 but mostly alone because Cologne people do it pretty soon here. After having breakfast we have to take the train and it's 30m minimun, then it depends how far your company is. In my case I have 45-50m by train and then 5m by bus, ain't so bad at all, partners like Donaire have to take three trains and one bus.

Gente hay de todo tipo, los que te miran con cara de susto, aquellos que se cambian de sitio cuando nos sentamos a su lado, gente con perros en el tren, los que nos dan susto a nosotros y un largo etc. Por lo general son muy serios, pero una vez que tienes algo de confianza con ellos pueden ser muy divertidos.

There are all kind of people, those who look at you with a scary face, the ones who changes his seat when we sit next to them, people with dogs in the train, those which scary us, and a big etc. In general they are very serious, but once you have some confidence with them they can be very funny.

La ciudad tiene muchos sitios interesantes para visitar pero de estos hablaremos en futuras ocasiones pues se merecen una entrada unica.

The city has many interesting places to visit but we will talk about them in the future because they deserve a unique post's.

La residencia esta bastante bien, la verdad que es muy grande y tiene muchas comodidades como la sala comun, nevera, cocina y la habitación con lavadoras. Como inconveniente podría destacar la lejanía y el baño comun, la comida alemana tiene un efecto laxante importante y somos 9 personas para compartir un baño, os imaginareis cual es el problema.

The residence is quite well, is really big and it has a lot of amenities like the common room, refrigerator, kitchen and laundry room. One drawback I could emphasize is the remoteness of it and the common bathroom, German food has a important laxative effect and we are nine people sharing one bathroom, so can imagine which is the problem.

Mi empresa / My Company

Grupo REWE es mi empresa, se dedica principalmente al sector de ventas y turismo con sede en Colonia. Su volumen de negocios actual esta sobre los 43,5 millones de euros. Opera en 14 países de Europa y emplea a mas de 270,000 personas en sus divisiones comerciales y de viaje.

REWE Group is my company, is engaged primarily in sales and tourism sector based in Cologne. Its current turnover is over 43.5 million euros. It operates in 14 countries in Europe and employs over 270,000 people in their trade and travel divisions.

Yo trabajo concretamente en RIS(REWE Information Systems) y mi trabajo aquí consiste en llevar a cabo las pruebas para actualizar el sistema de monitorizacion que utilizan en sus servidores y evaluar si la actualizacion merece la pena para luego ponerlo en producción.
Aunque el trabajo no es mi especialidad, gracias a mi familiarizacion con los sistemas UNIX no he tenido problemas para desenvolverme y lo encuentro bastante interesante. He pasado dias leyendo documentacion, haciendo pequeñas pruebas y ya creo que estoy terminando con mis labores.

I work specifically in RIS (REWE Information Systems) and my job here is to carry out the tests to update the monitoring system used on their servers and determine whether the update is worth it or not and then put it into production.
Although the work is not my specialty, thanks to my familiarity with UNIX systems I have had no problems at all, and I find it quite interesting. I've spent days reading documentation, testing and making small tests and I think I'm going to finish in a few days with my work.


Las personas en la empresa no ha podido ser mas amable, cuando me perdí una chica que me vio con cara de "donde estoy" y me pregunto en ingles que a donde quería ir que ella me acompañaba.
La comida en la empresa es inmejorable, y por si fuera poco me han dado una tarjeta de "invitado especial" y no tengo que pagar por ella, sin duda un gran detalle por su parte.

The people in the company couldn't be more friendly, when I got lost, a girl who saw me asked me in English where I wanted to go and she will guide me.
The food in the company is excellent, and last but not least have given me a card "special guest" and I don't have to pay for it, no doubt a big detail on his part.

Cosas que me han llamado mucho la atención.

Things that have caught my attention.

Todo el mundo tiene una bicicleta, realmente las usan y mucho. La ciudad esta completamente adaptada para ello.
Hay carriles bici por todas partes y si te descuidas no seria extraño que terminaras siendo arroyado por alguna porque van a toda pastilla.

Everyone has a bike, and they really use them a lot. The whole city is adapted for bike riding.

There are bike lanes everywhere and if you get distracted wouldn't be surprising that you end up being ran over by some because they are going at full speed.

La gente anda exageradamente rapido aunque no tengan prisa, parece que les encanta subir escaleras y mover las piernas.

People walks way TOO fast even if they have no hurry, it seams that they love to climb stairs and to move their legs.

Gente demasiado inocente, las personas presuponen que nadie va engañarte, por ejemplo las entradas del museo de chocolate costaban 7€ normalmente y 5€ estudiantes, hubo gente que enseño la tarjeta de la seguridad social como si fuese la europea de estudiantes y les funciono, aqui los españoles tienen ventaja.

People is very naive, they assume that nobody is going to fool you, for example the tickets for the chocolat museeum normaly cost 7€ and 5€ to students, there were people who show the social securuty card as if it were European students card and it worked, the spanish people have an advantage here.

A las 20:00 la ciudad empieza a morir, las tiendas cierran muy temprano y no es raro pasearse por la calle principal a las 21:00 y que te encuentres practicamente todo cerrado, menos los bares pubs y demas cosas similares. Era de esperar ya que levantarse todos los dias a las 6 de la mañana y descansar solo para comer te deja reventado.

At 20:00 the city begins to die, the stores close too early and isn't weird to walk into the the main street at 21:00 and you see almost all closed except the bars pubs and other similar things. It was expected since Cologne people get up every day at 6 am and having just one break for lunch makes people to be really exausted.

Nuestra empresa es WDR, una cadena de Television y Radio de Colonia, tiene bastantes edificios comunicados entre si en el mismo centro de Köln, el primer dia nos presentaron a todos los trabajadores de nuestro edificio, fueron muy
simpaticos con nosotros.

Our company is WDR, a TV studio and Radio of Köln, it has very much interconnected buildings in the center of Köln, the first day we met all workers of the our building, they are very friendly.

Nuestro lugar de trabajo se encuentra en una oficina con tres equipos, nosotros dos y un compañero aleman 'Florian Leuchtenberg' que conocemos de cuando fue a España y aun estabamos nosotros y esta haciendo las practicas en WDR.

Our workspace is in a office with three pcs, we and the other german partner ' Florian Leuchtenberg ' that we met when he went to spain. He is doing practices on WDR company.

Nos dedicamos a la programación en lenguaje PHP, Javascript y HTML.

We are doing PHP, JavaScript and HTML programation.

Nuestros compañeros alemanes ' Matthias Herzhoff ', ' Andrea Schon ' y ' Fabian Meid ' son muy simpaticos y nos diviertimos mucho, Matthias se encarga de darnos tareas aunque muchas veces andan muy ocupados, aprendemos mucho ingles hablando con ellos tambien.

Our german partners ' Matthias Herzhoff ', ' Andrea Schon ' y ' Fabian Meid ' are very friendly and we had fun, they give us jobs and we are learning much English.

Hello, my name is David Morales and this is the description of my company.

Estoy trabajando en la Universidad de Colonia, esta universidad esta divida en cinco partes cada una de las cuales se encuentra en un sitio diferente de Colonia, la parte en la que yo trabajo esta dedicada a la ciencia y la tecnología, así que se puede ver gente estudiando como potenciar un coche o gente que estudia los distintos materiales que se pueden usar en la construcción.
I am working at the University of Köln, this university is divided into five parts, each of which is in a different place in Köln, the part where I work is dedicated to science and technology, so you can see people studying how to enhance a car or people who study the materials that can be used in construction.

Mi sitio de trabajo se encuentra en una oficina compartida con 4 alemanes que están realizando sus practicas, son todos muy amables conmigo y no tengo ningún problema si necesito algo, siempre comunicandonos en ingles.

My workplace is in a shared office with 4 Germans who are making their practices, they are all very kind to me and I have no problem if I need something, always speaking in English.

Mi trabajo consiste en arreglar los ordenadores estropeados de la universidad y solucionar los problemas que los estudiantes y profesores tengan con los ordenadores.

My job is to fix computers damaged of the university and solve problems that students and teachers have with computers.

Estoy muy contento con mi trabajo, ademas en el tiempo libre que me queda, sigo trabajando en mi proyecto.

I am very happy with my work, also in the free time I have, I'm working on my project.

empresa

My company is ARL INTERNACIONAL "Casolute". Its a very big company.

Today is my first day here, i come with a german student called Edgar From Kenia. Edgar show me the company and present me the workers.
I dont know what is exactly the fuction of this company because I ask Edgar and he explain me his fuction not Casolute's fuction, or i dont understand him
all is possible. Edgar show me the server Room and he explain me that there are a lot of pcs for cars simulation (I think this is casolute's fuction).
Casolute is so far, i expend 80 minutes to come.

Mi empresa es ARL internacional *Casolute*. Es una empresa bastante grande, hoy ha sido el primer dia en el cual
Edgar me ha ensenhado la empresa y me ha presentado a los companheros. La verdad que aun no se muy bien a que
se dedica la empresa, le he preguntado un par de veces y el me dice que esta en el I.T *Servicio Tecnico*. Me ha ensenhado
la sala de servidores y tenian muchos ordenadores para hacer simulaciones (Segun me ha dicho, simulaciones del comportamiento de los coches.)
Hoy ha sido el primer dia asi que no he hecho gran cosa. Eso si mi empresa esta en el otro extremo de alemania lo cual hace que tarde 80 o 90 minutos
en llegar.

residencia



The residence is very good, there are like a house with living room amd kitchen.
I sleep in a room with two mates, David and A.Torres, and next room are Matias and Olea. We have the same shower for the two rooms.
I dont like three things of the residence:
1- The wifi conection is very unstable,is very dificult to stand online .
2- We have only a toilet.
3- Frechen is so far and we spend 30minutes to go to colonia, and 30 to come back.
La residencia esta muy bien, tenemos como una especie de casita para nosotros, con cocina salon etc..
Yo duermo con david y con antonio y en la habitacion de al lado estan matias y olea. La residencia solo tiene 3 cosas "malas".
- La conexion wifi falla bastante, pasamos poco tiempo en la casa, pero cada vez que me he ido a conectar se ha caido la conexion y no hemos podido
volver a conectar, asi que no se si pasa siempre.
- Tenemos un retrete para todos, asi que los turnos estan a la orden del dia.
- La residencia esta bastante lejos, nos dijeron 10min, pero son 30minutos por lo que cada vez que quieres ir a colonia son 30 de ida y 30 de vuelta.


instituto aleman

The institute is very good , is really big and the teachers are very kind with us.

El instituto esta bastante bien, es muy grande y los profesores nos tratan muy bien.



las clases de ingles

At the moment the english class are funny, teacher is good.

Las clases de momento se hacen amenas y en un ambiente distendido la profesora se rie con nosotros y nos lo pasamos bien.


colonia
Colonia is very different, at seven o'clock everybody goes home because they get up at six o'clock. The city is very big and the cathedral is fantastic.
The people in colonia are very serious, is the german character.


Colonia, es completamente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver, otro pais, otras costumbres, a las 7 de la tarde no te encuentras
a casi nadie por la calle porque los alemanes se levantan muy pronto.
La ciudad es bastante grande y la catedral inmensa.


la comida

The food in colonia is good but, at breakfast and dinner the only eat cheese and mortadella, is a little strange, but is lunch is heavy.




We dont eat in the residence because at night we eat in colonia or buy food in a supermarket called 'PLUS' and at breakfast we are too tired because
as good spanish we go bet too late and as good germans we get up too early .
The germans have breakfast at seven o'clock, have lunch at twelve o'clock and have dinner at seven o'clock.
The kebabs are very cheaper, i tell edgar the price on spain and he is amazed.
The worst of gastronomy in german, is the water, they only drink water with gas, the first day we buy water and we were surprised, other days we go
to the 'PLUS' to buy water but is too difficult to recognize the water without gas.

La comida esta bien, aunque los alemanes tienen la costumbre por lo visto de almorzar y desayunar queso y mortadela, solo los veo comer queso y mortadela.
Asi que hemos decidido cenar por colonia o comprar en el plus la comida y hacerla en la cocina.
y El desayuno..la verdad que va poca gente ya que como buenos espanholes nos acostamos muy tarde, pero como aprendices de alemanes nos levantamos muy pronto,
asi que cualquier minutillo que puedas dormir de mas, sera bien recibido, ademas que almuerzan a las 12 y cenan a las 7 asi que no te da mucho tiempo
a pasar hambre.
Los turcos son muy baratos, le he dicho a edgar lo que vale en espanha y no se lo puede creer...bendita inocencia, la que le espera el año que viene que quiere ir a malaga.
Lo peor de la gastronomia alemana, es el agua, yo no bebo cerveza ni suelo beber refrescos, y aqui solo beben agua con gas, el primer dia al comprar
todos agua nos llevamos una sorpresa, los dias posteriores han seguido habiendo sorpresas ya que aun no sabemos diferenciar el agua con gas de la sin gas
y si preguntas por agua sin gas ponen cara de asco.



los transportes



the transport are very interesting, they are very punctual and never arrives later. Edgar says me that germans are very punctuals and if
train or bus be later they call to the central to protest. I explain him how are buses in spain for they dont collapse portillo's or emt's central.
We buy a ticket to travel a month by train or bus, the ticket's price is 100 euros, not forty, but is necesary.
Los transportes es lo que mas me ha llamado la atencion, esta todo cronometrado al segundo y el tren y el autobus nunca llegan tarde, segun me comenta, un aleman
que he conocido en mi empresa, llamado Edgar, aqui los alemanes son muy estrictos con la puntualidad y si el tren o autobus se retrasa un par de minutos
en seguida estan llamando a central y quejandose. Les he contado como son las cosas en espanha para que no colapsen la centralita de la emt o de portillo.
Nos hemos tenido que sacar un bono, que en vez de costar 40 cuesta 100, pero bueno, aun asi sale mas barato que coger un ticket para cada transporte,
sobre todo si al igual que yo tienes que coger un minimo de 6 trenes y 2 autobuses al dia.

We want to go to Amsterdam.

De momento no hemos ido mas alla de colonia, mi habitacion y la contigua planeamos viajar a amsterdam y a algun que otro sitio mas. Ya os contare.


curiosidades

Curiosities.

- Germany people stare us without blinking and it is a little uncomfortable.
- When you are alone in a big city, you can speak english better.
- Some germans speak spanish and sometimes is a little shameful if you dont know that they can understand what you say.
- THE BETTER ANECDOTE for the moment happened in the institute where the director, Mr.Finkel, tell to olea, angel and me that they usually make a test with the students to know
if they like the school or not, and they want to make the tests online.
Last year they tell spanish students to make the application but when he show us the application we were amazed, because..

nobody knows the password to enter in the aplication, Mr Finkel only can see a page what says 'WELCOME'.

We change the password, and test the aplicacion


Me han parecido curiosas una serie de cosas.
- Los alemanes tienen la mania de mirarnos fijamente casi sin pestanhear, lo que ha veces en el tren y eso es un poco incomodo.
- La supervivencia hace que hasta el que no sepa ingles pueda entender perfectamente y acabar hablando con cualquiera.
- El aleman que menos te esperes habla espanhol y ya hemos tenido un par de situaciones curiosas como cuando esperabamos a la alemana sasha, y sasha resulto
ser el aleman grande de delante que entendia perfectamente lo que lleabamos un rato diciendo..
- Y la anecdota mas curiosa nos ha ocurrido a 3 companheros en el instituto hablando con mr.finkel, donde nos comenta que alli cada anho,
pasan un cuestionario a los alumnos para que evaluen el curso, los profesores, las clases etc..y quieren informatizar el sistema, por lo que el anho pasado
les pidieron a los alumnos espanholes una pagina donde poner questionarios y poder responderlos y eso, acto seguido, mr.finkel nos entrega una hoja
de requisitos y nos dice que lo comprobemos aver si todo funciona, a lo que nos parece un poco extranho ya que han tenido ellos un anho para probarlo.
Acto seguido mr.finkel abre la pagina y nos comenta, que aver si podemos solucionar un problemilla...el problemilla es que no les dieron los pasword de admin para poder acceder
y mr.finkel lleva un año observando una pantalla que pone: WELCOME sin poder hacer nada mas.
